New Patients

Our practice is committed to providing you and your family with safe, gentle, high-quality dental care. We understand that you, or your child, may feel anxious about visiting the dentist. We are sensitive to your needs, and it is our goal to make you feel comfortable visiting our practice while providing the best care possible.

YOUR FIRST VISIT IS ALL ABOUT YOU – YOUR COMFORT, YOUR HAPPINESS, AND YOUR HEALTH.

During your first visit, we will review your dental and medical history forms, and take X-rays of your teeth, unless recent X-rays have been emailed to us from your previous dentist. One of our hygienists will clean, polish, and floss your teeth. One of the doctors will meet with you to discuss your X-rays, complete your oral exam and do an oral cancer screening exam. We will answer any questions you may have and if necessary, develop a treatment plan.

When should my child first visit the dentist?

This is a good question and one we hear often. According to the American Academy for Pediatric Dentistry, the answer is before your child’s first birthday.   We agree with this in theory.   If we see a child before their first birthday, it will be to look for abnormalities. We will NOT be cleaning their teeth! However, what is important is for the parent of caregiver to learn their responsibilities in caring for the child’s teeth – how to clean the teeth, the best way to position the child, the importance of never having a bottle with anything besides water when they fall asleep, and how to prevent early childhood decay. We can teach you all of these things and answer any questions you might have.

BRING YOUR SMILE, BUT ALSO REMEMBER TO BRING THESE WITH YOU TO YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT:

  • Your completed patient information form (please arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time unless you have downloaded and filled out forms from this website.)
  • Your insurance card
  • Patient forms if you downloaded them from this website and completed them

REGULAR CHECKUPS ARE AN IMPORTANT PART OF MAINTAINING A HEALTHY SMILE!

The American Dental Association recommends visiting your dentist every six months for regular checkups and routine teeth cleanings to keep your teeth and gums healthy.

We understand that you have a busy schedule, so when you’re preparing to visit the dentist, please remember that your appointments can last between 45 and 90 minutes.

The cost of your treatment will vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. We will discuss with you the cost of your treatment and each of your available payment options before you begin, so that you can make the best choice for you.

OUR PRACTICE ACCEPTS MOST MAJOR CREDIT CARDS AND INSURANCE PLANS.

Our office staff is always available to help you with insurance claims and paperwork. We’ll work with your insurance provider to make sure that your coverage meets your needs and your budget.

Please let us know if you have any questions about your insurance coverage.
